yup

replacing what would have been a post on my complacency and lack of effort in participating in uni-life and other stuff (e.g. exchange. I’ve given up on that now. The forms are due tomorrow, and I cbb searching for courses now, or filling out the forms for that matter), and how it’s causing me a bit of concern since I seem to prioritising social activities and new experiences fairly low compared with my studies, I’ve decided to put in a video of gameplay from Uncharted 2 instead.

Watch the end of the above video. It links on to the start of the one below.

That has to be one of the most peaceful and realistic scenes I’ve seen in any film or video game for a long time. Also, why can’t I embed code in like Jason did with the FFXIII trailer? :’(. It’s so much prettier when the resolution’s higher.

  • Why go to Canada when you can explore the (virtual) wonders of Tibet in the comfort of your living room!

Have you seen the PS3 commercial featuring Uncharted 2?

    • yup seen that. having spoiled the whole game for myself, it is a very movie-like experience. kinda like a 10 hour indy movie, but without indy, and with more gunfight and clambering.

  • This really isn’t my type of game at all, unfortunately, seeing as how it’s a PS3 exclusive title.

I’ve heard some of the hype, and it’s good to see that it seems to have lived up to the hype, but I still stand by my old-as preference, easily summed up by “driving games + FF”.

That said, the graphics are awesome, and the gameplay looks pretty nice as well. The cutscenes are pretty well executed as well, with some good voice-acting. I actually read IGN’s review to see what’s what, and watched the video review. There is that touch of the feel of a movie in some of the dangerous situations, and how the camera moves along.

What I’m waiting for however, as I have told Ben countless times (not that it is going to happen), is ANOTHER CRASH BANDICOOT. shakes fist

  • aww how devastating that you’ve given up on exchange? haha sometimes i find myself extremely enthusiastic to do and try new things and then the next two days are a big drain and i lose motivation again and the next two days reenergize me – it’s all very up/down lol.

though i suppose the game does look very pretty.

    • it boiled down to the fact that the only time i had to organise exchange stuff was when i wasn’t catching up on hw etc., and during that time, i honestly did not want to be trawling through US and Canadian university websites searching for actuarial courses that will fit my program. it’s a nightmare. Relieving stress from work with stress from something else generally fails. so i called quits and did what i usually do to wind down.
