After pouring over the Gabriela Robin website, I’ve come out frustrated and depressed for a couple of reasons.
Sorry, no pics. Short post though. Gotta get back to emo-ing in a corner. T_T
1) Recounts of Yoko Kanno’s recent Super Space Time Tanabata Sonic concert in Tokyo has me crying. Looks like I’ve missed a once-in-a-century concert. Not that I could have gone there, but that’s highly besides the point. This was made worse by teaser audio recordings of the concert. What got me /wristing was the subsequent announcement that there would be no DVD release of the concert. *baaaawwwwwwwww* If you are a Kanno fan like me, and would love a DVD of the concert, go to this post on the Gabriela Robin site. One can hope that even if all the cameras used during the concert were stationary (lol ;_; no dymanic camera angles) a DVD might get released. If not, at least an audio CD?
2) There’s going to be ANOTHER epic concert in Japan which will probably never be repeated again. I’m praying my ass off that there’s going to be a DVD release of that.
Thankfully, there was some news on the site that wasn’t depressing. Hopefully Kawamori does the movie right this time, and fixes up those motive issues in Macross F. I also welcome TWO movies instead of one. =D

perhaps you mean “poring” and not “pouring”

looks like my vocabulary needs some work. thanks james. let me know if i make any more stupid mistakes in the future.
edit: also, cbb editing post. mistake shall stay there as a reminder.
You know how you guys (that is, you and Hans) have in my opinion and words the ‘elitist anime syndrome’ where you want to not be associated with those freaks that exist out there. This sort of stuff seems like it would be particularly appealing to those freaks.
What you said is true to some extent. Speaking on behalf of myself, I don’t want to be associated with a particular portion of ‘freaks’ out there. However, I’m fairly sure that in the remaining lot of ‘freaks’, there would be some who are quite similar to me, and as such, I probably wouldn’t mind having some sort of interaction with them.
Also, the subject of this post does not necessarily interest all the ‘freaks’ out there. Even if they did watch the anime series related with the contents of this show, chances are they wouldn’t give half a rat’s ass about the background music.
In a sense, this post is comparable to a normal person whining about missing a mainstream artist’s concert, except instead of a normal person, you have an otaku whining about missing a not-so-well-known artist’s concert.
