It’s another edition of this psuedo-random-series Productivity Killer! Which really is a post aggregating all the cool things and videos I’ve found on the intertubes that you might like to watch and read. Perhaps you might even appreciate this post to send me some of the first item. But first, you should check your farm.
What’s the most resilient parasite? An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.
Below is the trailer, but if you don’t want any preconceptions of the movie, don’t watch it. In fact, I recommend not watching the trailer as it is quite misleading regarding the plot. Go in untainted. The plot’s intricate enough as it is.
Channel 10 showed Serenity on Saturday. An excellent sci-fi movie, from a good director (Joss Whedon) who seems to only produce cult hit TV shows that get cancelled (and Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog [okay,Buffy the Vampire Slayer did stay on air for a while]). I’m guessing most of you would only have a passing interest in it though. So I’ve cut out the most important bit to explain what I will say about Durarara!!
That is River Tam, played by Summer Glau. Normally River is withdrawn and suffers occasional psychotic episodes due to her precognition abilities (at least in the movie, she’s probably more saner in Firefly).
Had the best fights ever… and the best FPS sequence (in that it was in a respectably good movie and well done). Awesome soundtrack. Easily the best comic-based movie I’ve watched
Right, in this iteration of PRODUCTIVITY KILLER, I show you some manly videos and some not so manly videos. Let’s start with the manly videos. Wait, let’s start with an awesome video.
Touhou, Bad Apples and Stop Motion Animation
An incredible piece of work that must have taken extreme dedication.
Well, Summer Wars. The much anticipated film from Mamoru Hosoda, the director of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and from the studio Madhouse. What should I say about it? Mmm…. I’ll try to keep my impressions short. No spoilers either… except for the images, I guess.
